MY ecolodge is a boutique budget lodge that guarantees a cozy and picturesque vacation anytime of the year. The serene lodge is equipped with distinctive facilities that blends into the natural beauty surrounding it.

What makes My Ecolodge an "Eco-friendly" property?

What is the best way to get to the lodge from New Chitose Airport or Sapporo?

You have a few great options depending on your budget:

  • Ski Bus (Recommended in Winter): Drop-off services like the Hokkaido Resort Liner or White Liner stop at the Hirafu Welcome Center. Let us know your arrival time in advance, and our shuttle can pick you up from there!

  • Train: Take the JR Line from the airport or Sapporo to Kutchan Station. From there, it’s a quick 10–15 minute taxi ride to the lodge.

  • Car Rental: If you are driving, we have free on-site parking available for our guests (reservations recommended during peak winter).

We provide free arrival/departure transfer from both JR Kutchan Station and the Hirafu Welcome Centre. Our pickup services run from 07:00~22:00 (summer hours subject to change), if you require this service, please book at least 24 hours in advance with your train’s arrival time. If you are arriving after 22:00, please let us know at your soonest convenience.


How far is My Ecolodge from the ski lifts and Hirafu Village?

About the Lodge

We are nestled in a peaceful spot just on the fringe of Hirafu Village (along Route 343). It is about a 20-minute walk into the center of the village. However, during the winter season, you don’t need to walk in the snow—we provide a complimentary guest shuttle that runs regularly to drop you off and pick you up right from the main ski lifts and Hirafu intersection.

If you happen to miss our last shuttle, there are other shuttle buses that run until 20:00 that you can take. You can get either the big grey Hanazono shuttle bus to Midtown Niseko and then walk 5 minutes to My Ecolodge or you can hop on the smaller red Hirafu Free Shuttle EAST LINE bus to Seven Eleven. They both come every 30 minutes and are free. Please note, the Hirafu shuttle stops between 10-11:30, 13:30-15:00 and 18:00-19:30 to change drivers. If you’re waiting for a bus within these periods, your best option is to get the Hanazono bus to Midtown. Alternatively, you can get a taxi on the GO app.


Do you have a place for me to store and dry my ski gear?

Absolutely. We have a dedicated, secure Ski & Snowboard Drying Room on-site. You can safely store your boards and skis, and the optimized heating ensures your gear is warm, dry, and ready for first tracks the next day.


What are your check-in and check-out times?

We believe in enjoying Niseko’s incredible natural beauty while doing our part to protect it. Our eco-initiatives include energy-efficient building systems, a strict recycling program, and minimizing single-use plastics. To save water and energy, we also operate on an eco-cleaning cycle for multi-night stays (fresh towels and trash removal daily, full linen changes every few days).

Check-in: From 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. (If you are arriving later, please email us in advance so we can arrange a late check-in).
Check-out: Check-out by 11 AM.


Can I deliver my luggage to My Ecolodge before my arrival and send luggage from My Ecolodge during my stay?

Most definitely. Ensure to include your booking name and check-in date when sending your luggage over. And simply approach our friendly Front Desk to arrange your luggage to be sent out. Please note that if you are sending your luggage or ski/snowboard bag to the airport, do allow 2-3 days prior to the date you want them to arrive.

Do you offer coin laundry services?

Yes we do. There’s three pairs of washing machines and dryers available but it’s a paid service option.

Washing machine service cost 200yen per wash and dryer is at 100yen for 30 minutes. If you may require washing detergent, it can be purchased from our front desk.


Are there lifts at the lodge?

Unfortunately, we do not have any lifts, so we recommend for you to request a room located on the second floor (valid for Twin/Double Room bookings only, and subject to availability).


Is there a carpark at the lodge?

Free parking spaces are available to all guests. However the number of spaces are limited so if you plan to come by car, please check in advance whether our parking spaces are available.


Can I smoke inside the lodge?

Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the lodge, so please use the designated smoking area located outside when you smoke.

Are there any international ATMs I can withdraw money from?

There are 3 international ATMs located at Hirafu:

  1. Seven Eleven (available 24 hr. Just across the street)

  2. Lawson Convenience (available 24hrs. All major credit cards accepted)

  3. Aya Niseko (from 10am -5pm, Visa and Mastercard with IC chip accepted)


What nearby eateries are there?

Our in-house Tam Tam Ramen Restaurant whips up a medley of local and international dishes, ranging from rice bowls, ramen, nabe (hotpot), and more! There is also a number of restaurants that serve very good meals within walking distance from the lodge. Upon check in we can provide you with a Niseko Wine & Dine guide that has a comprehensive list of restaurants in the area. Alternatively, you can download the Niseko Winter App and find the guide in there, or just ask our very friendly and food-loving Front Desk team for their personal recommendations!

You are more than welcome to use our phone to make reservations if you require.


What other activities can I do besides skiing/snowboarding?

If skiing/snowboarding isn’t your thing, there are companies that do backcountry touring, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Alternatively, there are a number of onsens (Japanese hot springs) in the area that can help you relax and unwind after a long day on the mountain. Our staff are quite knowledgeable about the area and can recommend restaurants and other activities upon your arrival.


Can you recommend a good ski/snowboard school?

For our guests, we would recommend GoSnow as they are very easily accessible from MY ecolodge and the shuttle bus drop off points.


Cancellation Policy


I have to cancel my reservation with My Ecolodge. Can I get a refund?

If you made your booking through an online agent (eg: OTA, Trivago, Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) you may have to abide by their cancellation policies.

If you made your booking directly with us;

Domestic bookings may require a one week prior notice of cancellation to qualify for a full refund.

International bookings require a 30 day prior notice of cancellation to qualify for a refund. If your cancellation is influenced by Japan travel restrictions, you are entitled for a full refund.
